Algeria takes part in 42nd edition of “Fitur” International Tourism Fair
ALGIERS- The National Office of Tourism, accompanied by a delegation of tourism operators in the field of hotel, tourism and travel, participated in the activities of the 42nd edition of the International Tourism Exhibition “FITUR”, which kicked off on Wednesday in the Spanish capital, Madrid.
A statement by the National Tourism Office stated that this participation falls within the context of “continuing efforts aimed at promoting the tourism sector and its mission in accordance with the directions and recommendations contained in the action plan specified in the Algeria destination plan, which focused on the need to intensify promotional work to highlight Algeria’s image globally and to include the Algerian destination within the markets.” international tourism.
Through its participation in this event, which will last until February 23, the National Office of Tourism seeks to “confirm Algeria’s presence and enhance its presence in tourist events and international forums, especially after the gradual return of tourism activity, which was greatly affected by the global crisis resulting from Covid-19.” .
In order to ensure the participation of “quality” in this exhibition, the office explained that a space of 90 square meters was reserved to house the Algerian pavilion, which was designed in a way that “combines the modernity and authenticity of Algeria in terms of architectural and heritage aspects. The process of upgrading and promoting our tourism products and seeking to market them in the best conditions.”
It will also display virtual visits with 3D technology that invites visitors to discover some of the distinctive tourist sites in Algeria.
